Captain Jack foi mais um daqueles grupos a navegar no sucesso da Eurodance na segunda metade da década de 90, um grupo Alemão que atingiu o sucesso em 1995 com o lançamento do single Captain Jack.

Captain Sharky e Liza da Costa foram os membros fundadores da banda, que misturava música Pop Europeia com música de dança, algo comum nos anos 90 em muitas bandas da Europa, o chamado Eurodance. Música de dança com uma vocalista feminina e um Rapper masculino em que o refrão era repetido até à exaustão. No teledisco de maior sucesso "Captain Jack", mostravam uma forma de treinamento militar em forma de música de dança e numa coreografia dançável.

O elemento masculino da banda fez parte do exército Norte Americano, e então o seu uniforme era baseado nisso e nos US Marines. A música foi um enorme sucesso e teve no top 10 na maior parte dos Países da Europa, mas logo depois a banda começou a mudar de elementos com quem muda de t-shirt e nunca mais atingiu o sucesso do seu single original.

Lembro-me de vibrar bem com esta música e de me divertir bastante com o teledisco, uma das minhas preferidas do género Eurodance.
